Mission

Subtle, insightful and beautiful ideas deserve to settle to the surface and be shared and enjoyed.  Such ideas can bring light and meaning, can inspire and can even impact the course of human history.  Such is the thinking behind the creation of Stormlight Press, and such is its on-going purpose in the world.

The least concrete, most elusive of humankind's gifts are often found in the realm of the arts.  All too often this realm is seen as a pleasant diversion from reality - an indulgence even.  Stormlight Press, however, sees that insubstantial realm as not only deeply valuable but also profoundly necessary.  Immersion in that world of subtle ideas beautifully transcribed can lead to renewal, insight and invigorated purpose.  

Human creativity has never been a hammer to be wielded at will.  It seldom works like that. However, when enabled, it is as powerful as the strongest sledgehammer.  Stormlight Press seeks to explore that font of human brilliance and recognise the extraordinary potential it has for creating positive change.

Whether this is achieved through fine black lines, delicate exposition or erudite brilliance, it doesn't matter.  We are open to all of that.  But the message that passes on is the same - it is the same bright light that passes between lives and that sets new hearts to blaze.
